Second web-design class

This week we started to learn how to make web-sites with Dreamweaver.
This seems to be way easier than typing everything yourself in html.
How I feel better, trying to make a web page, but it still challenging for me.
What was really unexpected for me is that a web page is a simply a table with inserted text, pictures and other tables.
The way of arranging a page with a help of tables i interesting, but a bit hard to understand, and as far as it seemed too difficult for me, I have decided to find out are there some other ways to do it.
It was actually the first thing I have done when I came back home from class.
I discovered, that there is an insert-able 'window'. You go to Insert >> Layout objects >> AP Div and as a result get an element on the working space you can move all over the page in order to put an abject wherever you want.
Thanks to the discovery most of the times I managed to avoid using tables)

ps: during the following lessons I have discovered, that the program is not easy at all: if you cannot make something in a right way, or something is going wrong with it, the only thing you can do is to start checking all the buttons everywhere: it is very interesting and informative. but very long and often aimless(
